December 11, 2005.Hi, everyone! This will be a very quick (for me) note.
I'm back! I'm well! I'm very tired (a common theme for a while). I guess the hospital considers me a big success story. When one of the nursing staff said I was welcome to stay as long as I wanted I had to reply, "thanks, but no thanks!"
Thank you all your your letters, emails, calls and visits. While I'm home on recovery, feel free to give me a call; if I'm taking a nap, leave a message and I'll get back to you later. I'm sure all of your good thoughts and prayers were a big part of this success story: thank you. I especially want to thank my sister Jean for posting dates and for bringing copies of replys to my bed each day, and of course Aletha, who literally camped out in my room half the time and was my constant support and companion.

It's great news to hear about your return home, and you certainly look chipper and alert in the latest pictures. Any way we can hope to get this level of alertness when you return to work? ;>)
